You may be asking: What is a sulfate?
A salt of sulfuric acid. Sulfates are used in everything from toothpaste to engine de-greasers. Sulfates are a common ingredient in industrial strength topical cleaning agents!!! Yuck! I know!
Sfree shampoo is free of all those yucky sulfates then make your hair weak and brittle. Sulfates dry-out your hair by stripping it of its natural oils, leaving you will course, dry and vulnerable locks.
A long time ago, late at night I purchased WEN Cleansing Conditioner from an informercial, because it promised to cleanse my hair without those any harsh chemicals and detergents found in traditional shampoos.
I anxiously anticipated the arrival of my WEN products. I thought the shampoo was wonderful!!! After about 3 weeks my hair started to feel weighted-down, oily and full of product. I kept using it to see if it was just a little speed bump in what I thought was a great product…it wasn’t a speed bump.
My hair never got soft and silky again after the 3 weeks of using the WEN Cleansing Conditioner. {I did a review on this product a long time ago if you want to read that entry: https://geishapearl.wordpress.com/2009/08/07/product-review-wen-cleansing-conditioner/}
The moral of the little story above is that it is relatively hard to find a shampoo without sulfates and detergents that actually cleans your hair and KEEPS it feeling clean! Sfree is a huge except to this!!!
After my first use of the Sfree shampoo I was hooked, but as you can from my WEN story I needed to be sure. So I kept using the product. As week 3 approached was a little nervous the product would stop working. I had high hopes, because I loved the shampoo! Week 3 came and went and my hair still felt amazingly clean and very moisturized….week 4 came and went….week 5 came and went…week 6 came and went…and my hair still felt absolutely amazing!
Sfree shampoo never felt like it was weighing-down my hair! My hair had bounce and felt silky smooth. I have also noticed how strong my hair felt–I have little to no split-ends, which is usual for me because of all the heat styling I do to my hair!
…Oh and the smell! It’s a wonderful assortment of citrus smells like grapefruit and hints of lemon and orange. The smell is great because it’s truly a unisex-smell. It has a very refreshing and relaxing scent, perfect for a morning or evening shower!
My overall option of the products is I LOVE IT! I will definitely keep Sfree shampoo in my daily hair routine for a long time! I would strongly recommend this product to every hair type, texture, cut, color, length, and style!

I have been looking for a decently priced sulfate-free shampoo since I started coloring my hair three years ago. For the past year I have been using L’oreal’s EverPure shampoo, but I’m always on the hunt for something better that I can afford. I’m really excited to try this one.
